Gabe

Gabe has been growing so much in these past few months! He weighs over 20 pounds, but I'm not sure exactly how much because I never seem to find the time to actually weigh him. Starting yesterday, he began gulping 2 full extra bottles in the day which means he must be growing. Of course this morning, one of those bottles was at 4am, not exactly fun for mommy. It wasn't too bad since we've been stuck at home for the past 2 days (snow). Gabe has been showing signs of crawling for over a month now, but hasn't actually taken off. Instead he finds every creative way of moving possible. His newest preference is an army crawl where he uses his arms to pull himself along. He's quite fast at getting where he wants to go despite his methods of getting there. Gabe's language has also began to explode! He started off saying dada at about 4 months old. Mama took another 2 months or so. He added baba (bottle) and mum mum (a baby snack) a couple of weeks ago. Today he began imitating my speech fairly closely (although not using the real words). When we sing the ABC song, he starts humming the first part and sounds pretty good. Even though we watched Luke do all of these things, it is still amazing to see it happening with Gabe. He just loves to catch onto something new. His sense of humor is definitely emerging - Luke is able to get the biggest laughs just by acting goofy!
