I loved being home with the boys today, but they sure do come up with some interesting things. I am pretty sure that Luke is out to destroy our house. Maybe he thinks that we will get a new one if he does enough damage. Last week he overflowed a toliet in the upstairs bathroom, but failed to tell anyone so it leaked all through the kitchen ceiling! I am still battling the smell of the small portion of carpet that got wet - I think the vinegar did the trick yesterday. Then I discovered his name written on each closet door in a lovely purple marker. Today I walked in while he was supposed to be napping and discovered him putting goldfish down the heating vent! Now in what universe does that seem like a good idea? On my way to check on the vent (which he tried to quickly replace so that I wouldn't see), I stepped on a sopping wet towel. So of course I asked why there was a wet towel in his room - and I don't mean damp like he just dried after a bath - completely soaked! He told me it fell in the tub. So I asked how it got into his room to which he had no response. I said, "Well it didn't just walk in by itself." You can see the wheels turning as he replies, "I think it did." He doesn't appear to do any of this on purpose - he's just curious about what will happen... I'm afraid of what hypothesis he will test out next though.
On an unrelated note, Gabe is recoving well from his first ear infection. Matt had baby and doctor duty yesterday so I took the day off today to make sure he was fullly recovered. Now it's back to our normal routine tomorrow...that is until it snows again :). I've come to embrace the snow days even though I know we will be going to school into June because of them - it's not like we can do anything to change the weather though right?
